Stencil header challenge

Last Friday night, after a very busy and tiring week I sat down at my kitchen table with my bujo and decided to do some de-stressing and challenged myself to come up with as many headers as I could to fill one page of my notebook using only three of my Dear Lily Designs stencils.

I’d never done this before; when I create something new it’s because it just pops into my head. But I am pretty happy with the way these turned out and some I like more than others. It also forced me to look at how many shapes I could combine to make look good together.

Without further adieu, here are my headers!

Headers made with Dear Lily Designs stencil numbers 011.1 Circles, 022 Flags, and 029 Mini Banners.

I love that they all have enough space to include the day and date on them, and that they’re not all the same. Numbers 8 and 21 in particular reminded me a little of Mickey Mouse/something-Disney after I stenciled it.

Anyway the whole point was to have fun and create something new and unexpected…and I succeeded.

I had so much fun doing this that I’ll be posting more header challenges in the future, so if you use Dear Lily Designs stencils (or any other brand stencils), feel free to use any of these ideas in your bujo.

Make sure you tag me on Instagram and use the hashtag ‘stencilheaderchallenge’ so I can see it! Try to limit yourself to no more than three stencils for each challenge.

Happy stenciling!
